CONSTRUCCIÓN SOSTENIBLE, USO EFICIENTE DEL AGUA Y SU AHORRO

Abstract

Este trabajo abordó la problemática de la construcción sostenible como herramienta fundamental para la consecución del desarrollo sostenible y las respectivas metas que este plantea. Se describe qué es la construcción sostenible y cuáles son sus pilares principales. Con base en estos se identificó su relación con el uso eficiente y el ahorro del agua. Lo anterior con el objetivo de identificar como ha sido la política pública imple-mentada para el ahorro de agua en la construcción sostenible en el Área Metropolitana de Barranquilla. Se evidenció la necesidad de buscar métodos alternativos de edificación ambientalmente responsables y que respondan a las exigencias del desarrollo económico y el crecimiento demográfico; la construcción sostenible surge como una propuesta que pretende garantizar el crecimiento social, sin olvidar la importancia del correcto aprovechamiento de los recursos naturales. En consecuencia, para dar vía a su ejecución, debe existir una regulación que reglamente este modelo responsable de construcción, para lo cual en el presente trabajo se aproximó al desarrollo y evolución de la legislación y la política pública relacionada con la construcción sostenible como herramienta de consecución de las metas del desarrollo sostenible y de garantía de Derechos Humanos.

This work was addressed the problem of sustainable construction as a fundamental tool for the achievement of sustainable development and the respective goals that this poses. It was described what is sustainable construction and what are its main pillars. Based on these, their rela-tionship with the efficient use and saving of water will be identified. The above has the objective of identifying how the public policy imple-mented for saving water in sustainable construction in the Metropoli-tan Area of Barranquilla has been. Currently, there is evidence of the need to seek alternative environmentally responsible building methods that respond to the demands of economic development and population growth; sustainable construction arises as a proposal that aims to ensure social growth, without forgetting the importance of the proper use of natural resources. Consequently, to give way to its execution, there must be a regulation that regulates this responsible model of construction, for which in the present work it will approach the development and evolu-tion of legislation and public policy related to sustainable construction as a tool for achievement of the goals of sustainable development and guarantee of human rights.
