Research on the history of sport and physical activity, do not establish how science was integrated into these disciplines, important for the understanding of students and teachers of the Sports Science and Physical Activity Program of the Corporación Universitaria del Caribe—CECAR. The present investigation uses the interpretive paradigm with a qualitative approach, which aims to understand reality as dynamic and diverse. It is a hermeneutic research that analyzes the natural conditions of sports science and physical activity. The methods used are: analysis of theoretical content, logical history, system approach and triangulation of information, which strengthen the relationship of criteria between the theories, stages and results of applied sciences to physical activity and sports. The main results start from the establishment of the theories and how they impact on applied sciences —and in the development of results in the different profiles of sport and physical activity— the approach of a logical order in the evolution of applied sciences to sport and the main sciences, from the positions of different authors by areas and sports. There are epistemological contradictions of a vision of how scientific research is doing in this subject and another of how the different subjects of the sports science program should work. Promoting a new proposal of curricular addressing of various subjects of the exercise of the profession within the program of Sports Science and Physical Activity.
