Escuela de padres como estrategia pedagógica para mejorar las implicaciones del maltrato infantil en el desarrollo cognitivo de los niños del Hogar Comunitario de Bienestar Familiar Mis Sonrisas - Edmundo López de la ciudad de Montería

El maltrato infantil es un problema que va desde los inicios de la humanidad y puede traer
consecuencias a corto o largo plazo, como problemas físicos, emocionales, mentales y de
comportamiento, por tal razón es necesario que las instituciones educativas y las entidades que
velan por los derechos de los niños y niñas intervengan y ayuden a que el futuro de ellos sea más
seguro y libre de maltratos. El objetivo de esta investigación es implementar la escuela de padres
a través de la educación con amor para que contribuya a disminuir las implicaciones que tiene el
maltrato infantil en el desarrollo cognitivo de los niños y niñas del grado transición del del Hogar
Comunitario de Bienestar Familiar mi Sonrisas – Edmundo López de la Ciudad de Montería. Se
desarrolló utilizando un enfoque cualitativo, basada en el método acción-participación. La muestra
estuvo constituida por un total de 18 estudiantes en edades entre 5 y 6 años y 26 padres o acudientes
legales. Como resultado se obtuvo que un 96% de los encuestados conocen el concepto de maltrato
infantil y tan solo el 4% no supo definir este término. En cuanto a que si los padres recibieron
algún tipo de maltrato en su infancia, el 54% respondieron si y el 46% respondieron que no
tuvieron ningún tipo de maltrato. El 46% respondieron que es demasiado probable y el 27% mucho
(muy probable) que la violencia si afecte la salud d los niños. En cambio, el 15% y el 12%
respondieron que es poco y no es probable que éste afecte a la salud de los niños. Se concluyó que
los tipos de maltrato predominante en la población Infantil del Hogar Comunitario de Bienestar
Familiar mi Sonrisas – Edmundo López de la Ciudad de Montería, fueron el maltrato físico y el
maltrato psicológico. Child abuse is a problem that has existed since the beginning of humanity and can have short or
long term consequences, such as physical, emotional, mental and behavioural problems. For this
reason, it is necessary that educational institutions and entities that watch over the rights of children
intervene and help to make their future safer and free of abuse. The objective of this research is to
implement the parenting school through education with love to help reduce the implications of
child abuse on the cognitive development of children in the transition grade of the HCB Mi Sonrisa
in the city of Monteria. It was developed using a qualitative approach, based on the actionparticipation method. The sample consisted of a total of 18 students aged between 5 and 6 years
and 26 parents or legal guardians. As a result, 96% of the respondents knew the concept of child
abuse and only 4% did not know how to define this term. As to whether the parents received any
type of maltreatment in their childhood, 54% responded yes and 46% responded that they did not
receive any type of maltreatment. Forty-six percent responded that it is very likely and 27%
responded very likely that violence does affect children's health. On the other hand, 15% and 12%
responded that it is not very likely and not likely to affect children's health. It was concluded that
the predominant types of maltreatment in the child population of the Hogar Comunitario de
Bienestar Familiar mi Sonrisas - Edmundo López - Montería, were physical and psychological
maltreatment.
