La presente es una investigación cualitativa de carácter etnográfico realizada en el municipio de Corozal, perteneciente al departamento de Sucre. Su objetivo principal era caracterizar la tradición literaria oral existente en la memoria colectiva de los habitantes de este pueblo. La investigación se llevó a cabo en tres etapas. La primera fue la escogencia de la muestra, la cual se dividió en tres grupos; estos grupos de personas se les nombró como “informantes” y se dividían según sus características. Posterior a esto, se procedió a realizarles una entrevista no estructurada. La entrevista estuvo cimentada en las “Categorías de la literatura de tradición oral”, propuestas por Gómez Nieves (2002). Se realizó un proceso de clasificación de la información, teniendo en cuenta durante todo el proceso lo plateado por el teórico expuesto anteriormente. Luego, para el análisis de la información, se utilizó una herramienta llamada “Word Art” la cual generaba figuras o imágenes a partir de la información recolectada y clasificada, para así, posteriormente, hacer una interpretación de estas figuras, a través de memorandos. La investigación logró llegar a algunas conclusiones con base en los resultados obtenidos luego del análisis de la información. Una de las conclusiones apunta a la existente riqueza de este tipo de patrimonio inmaterial en el pueblo. Por otro lado, se logró alcanzar el objetivo principal de la investigación, ya que se pudo hacer una caracterización de la literatura de tradición oral existente en el municipio de Corozal.El trabajo. This is a qualitative ethnographic research conducted in the municipality of Corozal, belonging to the department of Sucre. Its main objective was to characterize the oral literary tradition existing in the collective memory of the inhabitants of this town. The investigation was carried out in three stages. The first was the choice of the sample, which was divided into three groups; These groups of people were named as “informants” and were divided according to their characteristics. After this, an unstructured interview was carried out. The interview was based on the "Categories of oral tradition literature", proposed by Gómez Nieves (2002). A process of classification of the information was carried out, taking into account during the whole process what was plated by the theoretician described above. Then, for the analysis of the information, the researchers selected a technological tool called "Word Art" which generates figures or images from the information collected and classified, so, later, make an interpretation of these figures, through small descriptive paragraphs. This research reached some conclusions based on the results obtained after the analysis of the information. One of the conclusions points to the existence of wealth of this type of intangible heritage in the town.
