Método: enfoque cualitativo, paradigma interpretativo, diseño narrativo, alcance descriptivo, y diseño Muestral por bola de nieve. Población y muestra: la conforman 3 pacientes con cáncer, de sexo femenino, con rango de edad de 50 a 59 años, el tipo de cáncer varió, pero en todos los casos los tratamientos empleados fueron quimioterapia y radioterapia, adicionalmente se entrevistaron a 4 familiares de pacientes con cáncer y dos expertos en pacientes oncológicos. Instrumentos de recolección de datos: para recoger la información se utilizó una encuesta sociodemográfica y una entrevista individual de tipo semiestructurado. Resultados: los resultados permitieron construir las siguientes categorías; cáncer, descripción de la enfermedad, cambios y bienestar psicológico. Conclusiones: las narrativas de los participantes se articulan a descripciones sobre cómo fue el antes durante y después de la enfermedad en base a sus cambios y transformaciones tanto hacia ellas mismas como con otros. El trabajo.The objective of the research was to analyze the narratives of cancer patients regarding the experience of their disease in the municipality of Sincelejo-Sucre. Method: qualitative approach, interpretative paradigm, narrative design, descriptive scope, and snowball sampling design. Population and sample: 3 patients with cancer, female, with an age range of 50 to 59 years, the type of cancer varied, but in all cases the treatments used were chemotherapy and radiotherapy, additionally 4 relatives of patients with cancer and two experts in oncological patients were interviewed.
