Se abordaron también las principales características y aportes del sector hotelero del municipio de Sincelejo. En este aparte sobresale que el número de empresas del sector hotelero disminuyó un 21,15% en el período de estudio, especialmente, las dedicadas al alojamiento en hoteles 19,5%. Finalmente se pudo evidenciar que a raíz de los graves efectos que generó la pandemia del COVID-19, entidades internacionales como la ONU, la OMT y gobiernos nacionales formularon estrategias orientadas a la recuperación del sector turismo y hotelero. A partir de estas propuestas se plantearon estrategias en las áreas de marketing, beneficios tributarios y acceso a créditos a bajas tasas de interés a las empresas del sector hotelero, con el fin de promover la recuperación y/o reactivación del sector hotelero del municipio de Sincelejo. El trabajo.The present work analyzed the financial impact generated by covid-19 to the hotel sector of the municipality of Sincelejo during the period between 2019 and 2020. The main characteristics and contributions of the hotel sector of the municipality of Sincelejo were also addressed. In this section, it stands out that the number of companies in the hotel sector decreased by 21.15% in the study period, especially those dedicated to hotel accommodation by 19.5%. Finally, it was possible to show that as a result of the serious effects generated by the COVID-19 pandemic, international entities such as the UN, the UNWTO and national governments formulated strategies aimed at the recovery of the tourism and hotel sector.
