La metodología utilizada fue el enfoque etnográfico como estructura metodológica, que nos va a permitir un acercamiento con la comunidad indígena de Jarapetó en cuanto a sus costumbres y creencias desde su oralidad, para llevar este conocimiento a la escritura así de esta forma perpetuar su sabiduría en el tiempo. Los instrumentos utilizados para esta investigación fueron: Para la recolección de datos se utilizó la observación, en cuanto al registro de datos fueron necesarios el diario de campo, las grabaciones, fotografías. La sistematización de los datos se verá reflejado en el producto final que es una cartilla didáctica con algunas expresiones culturales de la comunidad de Jarapetó como cuentos, leyendas, pintura facial, pintura corporal, mitos, cantos. El resultado será producir una cartilla didáctica donde se consignarán los textos, imágenes que fueron aportadas por los lideres lideresas de la comunidad y representadas en narraciones, pinturas y cantos de la tradición cultural embera Dobida de la comunidad de Jarapetó.
