En sentido, plantea una alternativa estratégica para dinamizar la actividad turística en territorios con vocación para fortalecer la oferta turística en aras de impulsar un multidestino. La metodología para el diagnóstico de acción participación (IAP) se hizo a partir de la implementación de la herramienta cartografía social, es decir utiliza como aspectos relevante los punto de vista de loa actores del territorio en con relación al análisis del modelos de planificación turística local y as propuesta vigentes de los referentes bibliográficos. Asimismo, la herramienta permitió a actores públicos privados y comunitarios revisar su papel en el proceso de la planificación territorial en el municipio de Santiago de Tolú. Los resultados estuvieron determinados por elementos del análisis social, económicos y ambientales de la cartografía social y la interpretación de la cotidianidad de la actividad turística del municipio.This article presents the results of the participatory diagnosis of a research project designing a strategy for the planning of tourism activity with a focus on local development in the municipality of Santiago de Tolú department of Sucre. In this sense, it proposes a strategic alternative to boost tourism activity in territories with a vocation to strengthen the tourist offer in order to promote a multi-destination. The methodology for the diagnosis of participation action (IAP) was made from the implementation of the social mapping tool, that is to say it uses as relevant aspects the point of view of the actors of the territory in relation to the analysis of local tourism planning models and as current proposal of the bibliographic references. Likewise, the tool allowed private and community public actors to review their role in the territorial planning process in the municipality of Santiago de Tolú.
