La respuesta a este interrogante tiene como objetivo hacer una ilustración sobre los diferentes procesos históricos que han marcado la evolución de la enseñanza de la Arquitectura, por medio de una investigación explicativa y elaborando un relato con relación a los acontecimientos. Esta metodología documental se justifica en la necesidad de establecer el marco histórico dentro del cual se desenvuelve el Programa de Arquitectura de CECAR, ubicándolo en las diferentes corrientes epistemológicas. La metodología utilizada para el logro de los objetivos se centra en la investigación documental, utilizando como fuentes de información los escritos sobre la historia de la enseñanza de la Arquitectura producidos hasta la actualidad, donde destacan autores como Kostof, Fletcher y Luptom, entre otros. Sobre este conjunto de información se aplicó un análisis hermenéutico, que permitió la interpretación y análisis de los textos y la construcción de las categorías explicativas desde las que se logra el propósito trazado. Los resultados permiten establecer un recorrido histórico, en el cual se revisa los tipos de enseñanza de la Arquitectura desde sus inicios, comenzando por el reconocimiento de la guarida como el primer rasgo característico de la forma arquitectónica que permitía la protección del ser humano del contexto en el que se encontraba. Seguidamente, el conocimiento permitió desarrollar construcciones al servicio del culto de los dioses, en lugares como Egipto, Grecia y Roma. En esas épocas, el Arquitecto cambió de rol para consagrarse como maestro-constructor, formado a partir del arte de la carpintería y el trabajo en piedra. Finalmente, llega a la modernidad en la que las academias son parte indispensable para la formación del Arquitecto como profesional, por lo que su educación se basaba en el estudio de técnicas de representación en carboncillo y pintura, escultura, perspectiva, composición y construcción.The present work seeks to answer the following question: What has been the historical evolution of the teaching of Architecture? The answer to this question is to illustrate the different historical processes that have marked the evolution of the teaching of Architecture, through an explanatory research and developing a story in relation to events. This documentary methodology is justified in the need to establish the historical framework within which the CECAR Architecture Program unfolds, placing it in the different epistemological currents. The methodology used to achieve the objectives focuses on documentary research, using as sources of information the writings on the history of the teaching of architecture produced until today, which include authors such as Kostof, Fletcher and Luptom, among others. On this set of information a hermeneutic analysis was applied, which allowed the interpretation and analysis of the texts and the construction of the explanatory categories from which the plotted purpose is achieved. The results allow to establish a historical route, in which the types of architecture teaching are reviewed from its beginnings, beginning with the recognition of the den as the first characteristic feature of the architectural form that allowed the protection of the human being from the context in the one that was. Next, the knowledge allowed to develop constructions to the service of the cult of the gods, in places like Egypt, Greece and Rome. In those times, the Architect changed roles to consecrate himself as master-builder, formed from the art of carpentry and stone work.
