Derivada de una investigación de tipo cualitativo, utilizando entrevistas, en la que se han recogido posturas de jueces de paz y reconsideración y otros informantes respecto al funcionamiento de estos en la ciudad. En esta investigación se observa que el mecanismo ha tenido un trabajo escaso en las comunidades debido que las personas prefieren utilizar mecanismos coercitivos en la solución de sus controversias. Finalmente, en las conclusiones se propone que la figura se fortalezca en aras de convertirse en una alternativa para la reducción de la violencia en el municipio de Sincelejo, en la medida que facilita la solución de conflictos comunitarios. Por ello, se sugiere la realización de procesos pedagógicos en las comunidades, el entrenamiento a los jueces de paz y reconsideración y un mayor apoyo del Estado. El trabajo.This investigation was aimed at identifying the work of the judges of peace and reconsideration in the resolution of community conflicts in the city of Sincelejo. Derived from a qualitative research, using interviews, in which positions of peace judges and other informants have been collected regarding the functioning of these in the city. In this research, it is observed that the mechanism has had a scarce job in the communities because people prefer to use coercive mechanisms in the solution of their controversies. Finally, in the conclusions it is proposed that the figure be strengthened in order to become an alternative for the reduction of violence in the municipality of Sincelejo, to the extent that it facilitates the resolution of community conflicts. Therefore, it is suggested that pedagogical processes be carried out in the communities, training for the judges of peace and greater support from the State.
