El estudio se enmarca dentro del enfoque cualitativo, con una muestra constituida por 17 los estudiantes del grado cuarto. Se emplearon como técnicas e instrumentos de recolección de la información la observación directa, el diario de campo, la entrevista no estructurada y la encuesta. La implementación del club de lectura PEPE LECTOR permitió mejorar el gusto por la lectura y potenciar los niveles de comprensión en los educandos, incentivó la creatividad en los docentes al impartir actividades que contiene la lectura, tomando como referente al menor, el texto y el contexto, propiciando espacios acordes para un óptimo aprendizaje y a su vez, involucró activamente a los padres de familias como agentes primordiales para la percepción hacia la lectura y los hábitos de estudio en general. El trabajo.The present research project aims to implement the reading club as a resource that generates the reading habit in fourth grade students of the Pepe Grillo Educational Center of the Municipality of Sincelejo Sucre. The study is framed within a qualitative approach, with a sample consisting of 17 fourth grade students. Direct observation, the field diary, the unstructured interview and the survey were used as techniques and instruments for collecting information. The implementation of the PEPE LECTOR reading club allowed to improve the taste for reading and enhance the levels of understanding in the students, it encouraged creativity in the teachers by teaching activities that contain reading, taking as a reference the minor, the text and the context, fostering suitable spaces for optimal learning and, in turn, actively involved parents as primary agents for the perception of reading and study habits in general.
