Los resultados develan que el bienestar universitario como factor de la calidad de la educación superior exige que se establezcan cambios estructurales y no solo coyunturales y con características asistencialistas, especialmente, cuando ello se relaciona con procesos de acreditación de alta calidad en las Instituciones de Educación Superior.The intention of this article is to provide an approximation of the work of preliminary literature review, about the different views, concepts and norms that have been generated on University Welfare, from local, regional, national and international, with purpose of addressing the creation of a deconstruction of the concept of welfare in the University Corporation University of the Caribbean, CECAR from the perspective of the users and members of the educational community, which serves to enhance what until now has been accomplished, not only in this institution but also in the various higher education institutions (HEIs).
