De acuerdo con esto, la Corporación Universitaria del Caribe – CECAR, desde el programa de Trabajo Social genera escenarios de encuentro con la realidad y el contexto social, en el que convergen problemáticas y necesidades sociales, grupos poblacionales y diversos actores sociales e institucionales que contrastan y ponen todos los esfuerzos necesarios para la generación de iniciativas que potencian el cambio y la transformación social, así como el desarrollo sostenible y la consolidación de territorios de paz que contribuyen al desarrollo humano y social. Por esta razón, el presente capítulo está orientado a la descripción de la estructura y los aportes que la Práctica Profesional ha generado, con la finalidad de fortalecer el proceso formativo y el camino metodológico que sustenta la construcción de conocimiento y el posicionamiento profesional en los departamentos de Sucre, Córdoba y Bolívar; contextos en los que, desde la historia hasta la actualidad del programa, se reconocen la pertinencia de la institución y el quehacer del trabajador social.The university context, offers professional training scenarios oriented to the articulation of academic excellence, research and innovation and social projection. In accordance with this, the Corporación Universitaria del Caribe -CECAR-, from the Social Work Program, generates scenarios of encounter with the reality and the social context, in which social problems and needs, population groups and diverse social and institutional actors converge, contrasting and yielding all the necessary efforts for the generation of initiatives that promote change and social transformation, as well as sustainable development and the consolidation of territories of peace that contribute to human and social development.
