Uso de las redes sociales y las consecuencias que generan en los estudiantes de Trabajo Social de la Corporación Universitaria del Caribe

Abstract

La presente investigación se desarrolló bajo la disciplina de trabajo social desde la mirada de un enfoque cuantitativo, de corte transeccional o transversal, donde el propósito principal era conocer el uso de las redes sociales y las consecuencias que generan dependencia en estudiantes de trabajo social pertenecientes a segundo semestre de la Corporación Universitaria del Caribe, todo esto a partir de los referentes teóricos del Interaccionismo Simbólico del autor Blumer y la teoría de las redes sociales desde la definición de varios autores. Ahora bien, la investigación cuenta con tres objetivos encaminados a investigar, describir y determinar el uso y las consecuencias asociadas a las redes sociales, así mismo, contó con un diseño descriptivo de tipo transeccional o transversal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 100 estudiantes de segundo semestre de trabajo social. El instrumento que se utilizó para llevar a cabo la recolecta de los datos fue el cuestionario tipo escala Likert denominado “redes sociales y las consecuencias que inciden en el uso excesivo”, el cual midió cada una de las consecuencias que se encuentran en relación al uso excesivo de las redes sociales para determinar la influencia. Los resultados que se obtuvieron en el estudio, muestran que las consecuencias a nivel de las señales de riesgo es el predominante de la dependencia al uso de las redes sociales, en segundo lugar, se encuentran las consecuencias socio- familiar y en tercer lugar las consecuencias psicosocial y familiar.

This research refers to the discipline of social work from the perspective of a quantitative approach, cross-sectional or transversal, where the main objective is to know the use of social networks and the consequences that generate dependence on social work students belonging to the second semester of the University Corporation of the Caribbean CECAR, all this from the theoretical links of the Symbolic Interactionism author Blumer and the theory of social networks from the definition of several authors. However, the research has three objectives aimed at investigating, describing and determining the use and consequences associated with social networks, as well as having a descriptive design of a transectional or transversal type. The sample consisted of 100 students of second semester of social work. The instrument that was used to carry out the data collection was the Likert scale questionnaire called "social networks and the consequences that affect excessive use", which measured each of the consequences found in relation to the excessive use of social networks to determine the influence. The results obtained in the study show that the consequences at the level of risk signals is the predominant one of the dependence on the use of social networks, , secondly, the socio-family consequences are found and in third place the consequences psychosocial and family.
