TENDENCIAS DEL PROGRAMA DE PSICOLOGÍA

Abstract

En el siguiente Capítulo se presenta un panorama de las tendencias de la Psicología en las áreas de salud mental y vulnerabilidad, Neuropsicología, y Psicología y Organizaciones, teniendo en cuenta las directrices establecidas desde las líneas de investigación del Programa de Psicología. Inicialmente, se presentan las vicisitudes por las que ha travesado la Psicología en su desarrollo histórico y científico, para luego darle un espacio a las diversas tendencias que tiene la Psicología en las áreas mencionadas anteriormente, a partir del ámbito internacional, latinoamericano y nacional, en los cuales se estima que la salud mental es relevante, no precisamente por el abordaje de la anormalidad, sino por la identificación de recursos necesarios para el enfrentamiento de situaciones adversas, internas o externas, que hacen del ser humano resiliente. La Neuropsicología, que, a nivel de producción científica, tiene un buen posicionamiento en el ranking de América Latina, y el área organizacional, que ha sido una de las áreas de más rápido crecimiento en la economía, en la cual se destacan temas de interés como inclusión/diversidad, salud ocupacional, estrés/envejecimiento, factores de salud y seguridad en el trabajo que tanto afectan la salud y la productividad del trabajador. La metodología utilizada es la de enfoque interpretativo, metodología hermenéutica en la que se hizo una revisión exhaustiva de la literatura a través de las bases de datos proporcionada por CECAR, de la cual se pudo extraer los artículos, libros, tesis, etc. para la consolidación del capítulo.

The following chapter presents an overview of the trends of Psychology in the areas of mental health and vulnerability, Neuropsychology, and Psychology and Organizations, taking into account the guidelines established from the research lines of the Psychology Program. Initially, the vicissitudes of Psychology in its historical and scientific development are presented, to then give a space to the different tendencies that Psychology has in the areas mentioned above, from the international, Latin American and national level, in which it is estimated that mental health is relevant, not precisely because of the approach of the abnormality, but because of the identification of resources necessary for the confrontation of adverse situations, internal or external, that make the human being resilient. Neuropsychology, which, at the level of scientific production, has a good position in the ranking of Latin America and the organizational area, which has been one of the fastest growing areas in the economy, in which topics of interest are highlighted such as inclusion/diversity, occupational health, stress/aging, health factors and safety at work ,that both affect the health and productivity of the worker. The methodology used is the interpretive approach, hermeneutical methodology in which an exhaustive review of the literature was made through the databases provided by CECAR, from which the articles, books, theses, etc., could be extracted, for the consolidation of the chapter.
