The aim of this study is to analyze the perception of children and adolescents from impoverished urban areas about the influence of the neighborhood into te violent behavior in school and in the configuration of urban social identity of bullies and victms. Using cualitative methodology, 10 focus gruos were conducted with a total of 60 children and adolescents from four schools from areas in nigh psychosocial risk of Andalusia (Spain). The results suggest: 1) a possible mediation of family clime and parental supervision in the relationship between participation in unstructured contexts in the neighborhood and violent behavior; 2) a differential effect of belonging to the neighborhood and its characteristics into the urban social identity of the bullies and victims.
