La conservación y restauración del patrimonio arquitectónico desempeñan un papel fundamental en la preservación de la historia y cultura en las ciudades. Este trabajo aborda una intervención en el Palacio Municipal de Magangué Bolívar, siendo este un Bien Inmueble Cultural (BIC), que ha tenido un recorrido histórico significativo desde el año 1905 hasta la actualidad. Se encuentra ubicado en el centro histórico del municipio, sin embargo, debido a la falta de mantenimiento y la falta de conciencia patrimonial por parte de los Magangueleños, se hace necesario iniciar acciones para la restauración y reutilización del bien, con el fin de garantizar su conservación y futura trascendencia. El proyecto arquitectónico se centra en estrategias del restauro objetivo, el cual busca conservar la esencia y la historia de la edificación, manteniendo su valor cultural, su lenguaje arquitectónico propio y realizar adaptaciones cuando sea necesario para nuevos usos. Como resultado final, se propone un centro cultural accesible para todos, donde se pueda revivir la historia de la ciudad, la gastronomía y la arqueología para recuperar la memoria colectiva de la comunidad. The conservation and restoration of architectural heritage play a fundamental role in the preservation of history and culture in cities. This work deals with an intervention in the Municipal Palace of Magangué Bolívar, which is a Cultural Real Estate (BIC), which has had a significant historical journey from 1905 to the present. It is located in the historic center of the municipality, however, due to the lack of maintenance and the lack of heritage awareness on the part of the people of Maganguel, it is necessary to initiate actions for the restoration and reuse of the property, in order to guarantee its conservation and future transcendence. The architectural project focuses on strategies of the objective restoration, which seeks to preserve the essence and history of the building, maintaining its cultural value, its own architectural language and making adaptations when necessary for new uses. As a final result, a cultural center accessible to all is proposed, where the history of the city, gastronomy and archaeology can be relived to recover the collective memory of the community.
