La enseñanza de la lengua inglesa ha adoptado nuevas metodologías gracias a los avances tecnológicos. Sin embargo, El acto educativo traspasa el hecho de adquirir conocimiento y herramientas digitales. La conciencia sobre los cambios mundiales y el rol que debería tomarse está siendo ignorada. Los problemas ambientales, sociales y económicos de la sociedad necesitan ser tratados. Las alianzas entre sectores públicos y privados parecen ser una estrategia pertinente para afrontar estas necesidades. Sin embargo, las prácticas usadas para educar a la sociedad en esto han sido infructuosas hasta ahora. Este proyecto intenta implementar una estrategia de enseñanza enfocada en secuencias didácticas que guíen a los estudiantes a caracterizar las problemáticas de su comunidad y concientizarlos en la importancia de los 17 ODS (Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible). De esta forma, nació el proyecto de investigación, de la necesidad de sensibilizar a los estudiantes del Instituto British English en Acacías Meta, frente al compromiso ciudadano de contribuir al logro de los ODS. Se diseñó una estrategia de enseñanza enfocada en secuencias didácticas que respondieran asertivamente a la necesidad urgente de reconocer el valor de hacer acuerdos para alcanzar el bienestar de la sociedad fue propuesto. Dentro del Desarrollo del Proyecto fue usada la acción participativa y la metodología cualitativa. Para la recolección de la información, diferentes instrumentos fueros usados: La encuesta pre y post, el método de observación. Concerniente a la implementación, Las secuencias didácticas fueron desarrolladas en el marco de la identificación de 4 compañías privadas y 2 públicas las cuales desarrollaron proyectos independientes relacionados a los ODS y con las que fue posible hacer alianzas efectivas. La metodología favoreció la concientización y apropiación de la importancia de hacer alianzas a nivel local, regional, nacional e internacional para alcanzar los objetivos de desarrollo sostenible. English Language teaching have adopted new methodologies due to the technological advances. However, the act of education goes beyond acquiring digital skills and knowledge. Consciousness about the world’s changes and the role which should take is being ignored. The environmental, social and economic problems of today’s society need to be addressed. Alliances in public and private sectors turn out to be a pertinent strategy to respond to these needs. However, the practices used so far to educate society about this have been unsuccessful. This project aims to implement a teaching strategy focused on didactic sequences that lead students to characterize their community problems and aware them about the importance of the 17th SDG’s (Sustainable Development Goals). Thus, the research project arose from the felt need to aware the British English Institute students in Acacías Meta, in the face of the citizen commitment to contribute to the achievement of the SDG’s. Alliances between the private and public sectors might help in some way to respond to this problematic, it was designed a teaching strategy focused on didactic sequences that responded assertively to the urgency of students on recognizing the value of making agreements to achieve the well-being of society was proposed. In the development of this project, qualitative research and participatory action research approach were used. In the collection of information, several instruments were used, such as the pre survey, observation method and Post Test. With regard to implementation, sequences were developed framed in the identification of 1 public and 4 private companies that developed projects related to the objectives of sustainable development and with which it is possible to make effective alliances. The methodology favored the awareness and appropriation of the students regarding the issue of local, regional, national and international alliances to achieve the objectives of sustainable development.
