Resumen
Este Capítulo presenta el análisis de los procesos curriculares y sociales generados en el Programa de Trabajo Social hasta 2018, con el propósito de producir un nuevo conocimiento acerca de las dinámicas y desarrollos dados en materia de Docencia, Investigación y Proyección Social, en el marco de las políticas institucionales y las tendencias del conocimiento disciplinar, a nivel internacional y nacional. La metodología utilizada fue la revisión documental, bajo el paradigma hermenéutico, lo que posibilitó, mediante el análisis textual, reconocer aciertos y desaciertos, valorar la pertinencia frente a las demandas del contexto, la prospectiva y retos, de cara al futuro en la formación de Profesionales en Trabajo Social. A partir del análisis y la reflexión, en torno a las funciones sustantivas del Programa y la Institución, se derivan conclusiones que evidencian avances significativos en su devenir, congruentes con las exigencias de formación de la sociedad contemporánea y el mundo global. No obstante, queda el compromiso de repensar permanentemente el quehacer pedagógico y la formación integral, a fin de cerrar brechas para lograr niveles máximos de cualificación, como Programa e Institución de Educación Superior, aportando a la concreción de los propósitos misionales, el desarrollo sostenible, la convivencia y la paz en el Departamento, la Región Caribe y el país.
Resumen
This Chapter presents the analysis of the curricular and social processes generated in the Social Work Program until 2018, with the purpose of producing new knowledge about the dynamics and developments given in the field of Teaching, Research and Social Projection, within the framework of institutional policies and disciplinary knowledge trends, at the international and national levels. The methodology used was the documentary review, under the hermeneutical paradigm, which made it possible, through textual analysis, to recognize successes and failures, to assess the relevance to the demands of the context, the prospective and challenges, facing the future in the formation of Professionals in Social Work. From the analysis and reflection, around the substantive functions of the Program and the Institution, conclusions are derived that show significant advances in their evolution, consistent with the training requirements of contemporary society and the global world. However, there remains the commitment to permanently rethink the pedagogical task and the integral formation, in order to close gaps to achieve maximum levels of qualification, as a Program and an Institution of Higher Education, contributing to the concretion of the missionary purposes, the sustainable development, the coexistence and peace in the Department, the Caribbean Region and the country.
