DISCURSO HETERONORMATIVO Y VIOLENCIA SEXUAL CONTRA LAS MUJERES TRANSGÉNERO DURANTE EL CONFLICTO ARMADO INTERNO EN EL DEPARTAMENTO DE SUCRE, COLOMBIA. PERIODO 1996 AL 2006
Capítulo - Parte de Libro
2020
The violence, product of the confrontation between armed actors in
the context of the armed conflict, has accounted for countless victims
in more than 50 years of confrontation. Among them are people with
non-hegemonic sexual orientation and gender identity, who suffered the
rigors of violence because they did not fit into pre-established social
stereotypes. For this reason, talking about the patterns of violence
exercised against the body of people with diverse gender identity
is a way of recognizing that violence is exercised differently in each
body. Although the laws that support the transitional justice process in
Colombia establish the right of all victims to be recognized as such, it
is no less true that the stigmatization and historical exclusion that trans
women have experienced have undermined their capacity to organize.
social, so that their realities, their truths and their pain are forgotten.
To achieve our objectives, we resort to qualitative research from the
action-participation research methodology, in order to provide women
with support and information for access to rights contemplated in Law
1448 of 2011. Chapter resulting from the research project entitled
“Discourses and Control: Violence against people with non-hegemonic
gender identities in the framework of the internal armed conflict in
the period 1996-2006”, carried out by the GISCER research group of
the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of CECAR, which was able
to analyze the influence of heteronormative discourses on the violence
suffered by transgender women.
