La presente investigación tiene como objetivo, describir la identidad social de los adolescentes pertenecientes a la pandilla del barrio Camilo Torres de la ciudad de Sincelejo, Colombia. Para ello, se realizó un estudio cualitativo, con un enfoque fenomenológico, el cual Se centra en comprender y describir la experiencia vivida por las personas en relación con un fenómeno particular, en este caso, la construcción de la identidad social en adolescentes pertenecientes a una pandilla. Se busca explorar los significados y las percepciones que los individuos tienen sobre su participación en la pandilla, así como los impactos que esta tiene en sus vidas. En este contexto, el enfoque cualitativo permite obtener una comprensión profunda y detallada de la realidad social de los adolescentes en estudio. A través de entrevistas en profundidad, se busca capturar la riqueza y la complejidad de las experiencias de los participantes, permitiendo así identificar patrones, temas y significados compartidos que emergen de sus relatos. Se realizaron entrevistas en profundidad a miembros de la pandilla, así como a la policía de infancia y adolescencia y al jefe de zona encargado de la seguridad en la comunidad. Los resultados muestran que la pertenencia a la pandilla cumple un papel significativo en la vida de estos adolescentes, proporcionándoles un sentido de identidad y pertenencia en un entorno donde se sienten marginados o desfavorecidos. La pandilla también ofrece apoyo emocional y camaradería, así como la oportunidad de desarrollar habilidades de liderazgo y trabajo en equipo. Sin embargo, también se identificaron aspectos negativos asociados con la participación en la pandilla, como la influencia negativa en las relaciones familiares y la seguridad de la comunidad. La investigación destaca la importancia de abordar las causas subyacentes de la participación en pandillas, así como la necesidad de ofrecer alternativas positivas y oportunidades de desarrollo para estos jóvenes en riesgo. En conclusión, este estudio contribuye a la comprensión de la construcción de identidad social en adolescentes pertenecientes a pandillas, destacando la importancia de abordar esta problemática desde una perspectiva integral que tenga en cuenta tanto los aspectos positivos como negativos de la participación en pandillas. Abstrac: The objective of this research is to describe the social identity of adolescents belonging to the gang of the Camilo Torres neighborhood of the city of Sincelejo, Colombia. To this end, a qualitative study was carried out, with a phenomenological approach, which focuses on understanding and describing the experience lived by people in relation to a particular phenomenon, in this case, the construction of social identity in adolescents belonging to a gang. The aim is to explore the meanings and perceptions that individuals have about their participation in the gang, as well as the impacts it has on their lives. In this context, the qualitative approach allows us to obtain a deep and detailed understanding of the social reality of the adolescents under study. Through in-depth interviews, we seek to capture the richness and complexity of the participants' experiences, thus allowing us to identify patterns, themes and shared meanings that emerge from their stories. In-depth interviews were conducted with members of the gang, as well as with the childhood and adolescent police and the zone chief in charge of community security. The results show that gang membership plays a significant role in the lives of these adolescents, providing them with a sense of identity and belonging in an environment where they feel marginalized or disadvantaged. The gang also offers emotional support and camaraderie, as well as the opportunity to develop leadership and teamwork skills. However, negative aspects associated with gang participation were also identified, such as the negative influence on family relationships and community safety. The research highlights the importance of addressing the underlying causes of gang involvement, as well as the need to offer positive alternatives and development opportunities for these at- risk youth. In conclusion, this study contributes to the understanding of the construction of social identity in adolescents belonging to gangs, highlighting the importance of addressing this problem from a comprehensive perspective that takes into account both the positive and negative aspects of gang participation.
